Cookies Policy
Last updated: March 12, 2026
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage
Track Recorder does not use traditional HTTP cookies. However, we use your browser’s local storage to save your GPS records so they persist between sessions. This is similar in purpose to cookies but stored differently.
2. What We Store Locally
- Records: Your recorded points and routes (coordinates, timestamps, names) are stored in local storage under the key
track-recorder-records. - No tracking: We do not set cookies or use local storage for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
3. Your Control
You can clear your records at any time using the “Clear” button in the app. To remove all site data (including local storage), use your browser’s settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
4. Third-Party Cookies
Our Service embeds map tiles from providers such as OpenStreetMap, ESRI, and others. These providers may set cookies when you load map tiles. We do not control these cookies. Please check each provider’s privacy policy for details.
5. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision.
