Track Recorder (“we”, “our”, or “the Service”) is a web-based GPS recording tool operated by Bashige. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our Service.

Location data: When you record points or routes, your device provides GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude). This data is processed only in your browser and stored on your device.

Local storage: Your records are saved in your browser’s local storage. We do not transmit this data to our servers.

Third-party services: To obtain elevation data when your device does not provide it, we may send coordinates to the Open-Elevation API. Please refer to their privacy practices.

3. How We Use Your Data

We do not collect, store, or analyze your personal data on our servers. All recording and storage happens locally on your device.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or other purposes. Elevation lookups may involve sending coordinates to Open-Elevation; no other data is sent.

5. Your Rights

You may clear all records at any time using the “Clear” button. You can also clear site data via your browser settings to remove locally stored records.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
